Black League Game
Team MVP was chosen by the Black team in their amazing win over Novi Green. Lady luck was on our side as the ball bounced around oh so close to the net several times. Each goalie made key saves, while the defenders played out of their minds to protect the goalies. Attackers stayed clam yet energized to see and create opportunities.

Scrimmages
In the Celtic Black scrimmage vs LSCS Meteors, Kaliegh won MVP. She stepped out of her comfort zone once again by playing in goal and doing it well! She made several saves to keep the ball out of the net. While on the field, she consistently was aggressive to and through the ball. Congratulations Kaliegh!

Celtic White 1  Canton Sharks 0
Brittney was awarded MVP of the game because of her correct positioning on the field. She marked well and read attackers as they tried to enter the goal box. Brittney was determined not to let any opponents score on her watch. Congrats Brit, you were successful!

Match Day - Livonia
The 9/26 Match Day named 4 players team MVP.

Haley's teammates nominated her for MVP because she was able to rebalance and play a good game even with a heavy cast halfway up her arm. Haley you will be back to full strength in no time and back to being vicious on the field.

The White team scored a smart soccer goal in their first game of the day. Claire was an important piece of that goal. She was nominated for MVP and ultimately won for the hard work she put in to set up another teammate. Way to see the field Claire.

Katie from the Black team secured the MVP award in their second game of the day. Unfortunately, the team did not have enough steam to win the game but Katie put in 100%. She netted a nice left footed goal. She also made several strategic passes to keep her opponents guessing. Congrats Katie!

Haley from the White team cornered the market on MVP later that day. She marked a player twice her size throughout the game. Haley kept her busy by being her shadow and forcing her mark to work. Haley's mark may have been two times her size but Haley fired back with twice the determination and heart. A job well done!

Match Day - Canton
On 9/12 we had the first player to be selected twice for MVP. Lindsay earned nomination and ultimately the MVP for her hard work both on the field and in the net. She is not afraid to mix it up with opponents or deny their shots while playing in goal. Congrats Linds!

Later that day, on 9/12, a second White player was named MVP. This player set out a personal goal to drive forward the entire game. She accomplished her goal with hard work which put her in the running for the award. Allison won MVP for reaching her personal goal for the game. Great job!

9/12 MVP winner for the Black team was Nicole. She won the award for her -total domination- of the defensive zone. Nicole made her opponents cry when they tried to take her on 1v1. She really played tough. Nice game Nicole!

Another MVP winner on the first match day for the Celtic Black team was Kenna aka "Shooter." She showed her teammates that she can use her shooting and passing skills in the correct situation. Her teammates are excited to see her "Shooter Special" served at their next soccer game. Congrats Kenna.

Bowling Green Tournament
The first game of the Bowling Green Tournament was at 8am. Jenna from the Black team won MVP of the game for her consistent hustle throughout her shifts on the field. She generated the first goal of the tournament and... many others. Nice job Jenna!

The second game played by the White team produced a victory. Olivia was selected MVP for her relentless game play in goal and on the field. Liv, thanks for volunteering to play in goal, from...your teammates :) Congratulations!

The third game of the day was a tough loss for the White team. Nicki secured MVP for consistent playing in defense. She performed recovery runs and partner defending like it was going out of style. She even went as far as saving a goal. Well done Nicki!

Amanda from the Black team won MVP in the last Saturday game of the tournament. She was very willing to be a team player and gladly played in net. She also was steadfast with her distribution of the soccer ball. She is truly an unselfish player. Nice work Amanda!

Sunday morning of the Cedar Point Bowling Green Tournament named 2 more MVP's. Jamison was nominated by her teammates and selected for her willingness to try new positions. Throughout the game she battled all opponents who were brave enough to try to take her on. Congratulations!

The second morning game MVP went to a little lady named Lauren. She earns her MVP for her speed down the sideline and crossing pass to create the first goal of the game. Lauren, keep on smiling and using that speed! A job well done.

During the championship game, teammates saw this player striving to reach the goal. She used her fast footwork creating space for herself to find the back of the net. Valencia was nominated and won MVP in the championship game. Congratulations Lenny!

Friendlies 8/9
Lindsay won MVP for the White team in their first game together on Sunday, August 9. The White team beat the U9 Hawks. Lindsay battled hard in defense and was very active as she played in the goal in the second half. Congratulations Lindsay!

Madalyn won MVP for giving 100% while she played in the Black team's first ever 2009 game. A tough game vs. the Gators, Madalyn made several unbelievable saves to keep the Gators from scoring. A little help from the crossbar never hurt either :) Congratulations Madalyn!

Brittney was awarded MVP in the second Sunday game for the White team. Brittney moved the ball well while playing in a defensive position. She stayed calm and cool even when the competition (and weather:) heated up. Congratulations Brittney!
