Celtic Ends Another Successful Season!

Welcome to Canton Celtic '94 Black ... the premier boys soccer team in the Canton Soccer Club, one of the largest youth soccer organizations in the country.

Celtic entered the 2009-2010 ranked by National Soccer Ranking as the Midwest's #25 team, and ranked #5 in Michigan.  Comprised of boys from seven high schools, the boys welcomed a new coach, Kieran Savage, and three new players on the roster.

For the third consecutive year, Celtic won its State Cup group and advanced to quarterfinal play. The team was named the tournament's overall #4 seed and was the top seed in a group that included Michigan Burn, Vardar East and Fraser United.

In addition, Celtic traveled to Dayton in March and finished as the U16 finalist at the Ohio Galaxies Football Club College Showcase.  In May, Celtic was champion of the High School Senior Elite division of the inaugural Celtic Invitational. Earlier in the season, Celtic swept the field in a series of Friendlies at Olivet College against Kingdom Reserve, TNT and Jaier.

Several members of the team were selected to play on Michigan Football Club teams at the Score at the Shore Tournament and College Showcase in February. Celtic won their indoor league at Total Soccer Complex, going through undefeated in a division that featured three MRL teams.
